Challenge
Rapidly deploy a system that allows users to upload and submit their weight loss video stories to Weight Watchers for potential use in commercials.
Exploration
Given the timeframe (under three weeks), and no existing environment in which to work, we had to create, architect, and deploy a system from the ground up with a very specific set of submission and judging functionality.
Solution
Using video encoding and Amazon cloud services, we created an online tool that allows users to easily submit videos while allowing Weight Watchers to sort, review, and judge site submissions. These submissions are then shared with Weight Watchers marketing for potential inclusion in the "Your Story" campaign.
